Nartamonga
An Interactive Ossetian Saga
Nartamonga is a story-and-game experience grounded in the Ossetian Nart epic. Visitors choose a guide, follow cinematic scenes, receive hints, make decisions and complete a task — a “key” — at the end of each story.

- Sole creator — concept, story and UX, artwork, AI-assisted production
- Status
- Live and evolving — three stories published, the larger collection in development

The thread
01 Raw material
The Nart epic — a vast oral saga of tricksters, heroes and impossible tasks.
02 What I built
A mobile story-game: choose a guide, move through cinematic scenes, make the hero’s decision, and share a card at the end of each story.
03 What it changed
- stories live — the collection is growing

In short
It opens with an animated intro and ends every story with a shareable card. Three stories are published today; the wider narrative collection is being written and built.
The product
Inside the experience.
Screens recorded from the live site. Interface currently in Russian; captions in English.
01
Opening & guide choice
An animated opening, then the reader chooses who will lead them — a guide stays by their side in every story.
02
Scenes with progression
Scene 4 of 7, “White foam, red foam”. A progress line runs across the top; the guide’s commentary sits under the text.
03
The key
Every story closes with a decision: “What will Dzerassa do?” Three options, and Syrdon’s aside: “I’d certainly think of something. And you?”
04
Shareable end cards
A personal card for each completed story, exportable as 4:5 for the feed or 9:16 for stories.
Results
Work in progress — audience results will be published once the larger collection is live.
